Information: While I make a conscious effort not to bring attach my pre-conceived ideas to many of these pieces, I do make exceptions. This piece is named ascent as it reminded me of the ideal of the final light many claim to view at the moment of death. The frescoes that appear along the border heighten the feeling of the divine.
