I completed the first of three semester-long tours with Johnson Space Center's Co-op Education Program during the Fall 2005 semester.
The JSC Co-op program allows college students from around the country to better prepare for their careers by supplementing classroom learning with valuable real-world experience. This extremely competitive program allows about 150 students from more than 40 universities to alternate semesters at school with working at JSC in paid, full-time positions directly related to their fields of study.
My first Co-op tour was with JSC's Office of Public Affairs. While there, I worked on a variety of projects, which included planning promotional events, writing press releases, and composing articles for both print and the Web. A selection of these events and articles can be viewed by clicking the corresponding links in right-hand menu.
During the Summer 2006 semester, I will begin my second tour working for JSC's Office of Education.
